Project Brief
After evaluating the actual dock layout, ground conditions and long-term usage plans submitted by the client, our sales and technical team jointly proposed a tailor-made 55-ton marine travel lift solution. This model features ultra-rigid overall frame and intelligent anti-swing control module, which guarantees steady running performance and strong adaptability to complex working grounds, thoroughly solving the customer’s bottlenecks on vessel safe lifting. The customized unit has passed all rounds of factory quality verification and been successfully shipped to the Kuwait shipyard as scheduled.

Customized Solution & Technical Data
Key Technical Specifications
Rated load capacity: 55 tons
Maximum lifting stroke: 18 m
Total overall span: 32 m
Driving mode: Full hydraulic power drive
Operation options: Three control methods – cab integrated operation, radio wireless remote control and wired pendant button control
Core Design Highlights
Intelligent anti-swing control system: Real-time dynamic speed adjustment effectively suppresses hull shaking during hoisting, preventing yacht surface abrasion and collision damage
All-terrain mobile chassis: Equipped with heavy-duty anti-abrasion tires and full 360-degree steering function, the lift can freely travel on muddy waterfront ground as well as flat indoor workshop floors
Practical Operation Value Brought to Client
Multi-scenario flexible application: Realizes yacht launching at open berths, maintenance lifting inside dry docks, and short-distance yard transfer with one single device
Safe and high-efficiency performance: Rated load lifting speed up to 12 meters per minute, equipped with overload protection, travel limit alarm and multiple interlocking safety devices
Lower whole-life maintenance expenditure: Key wearing components adopt imported wear-resistant materials; the designed service lifespan exceeds 15 years with minimal annual inspection and upkeep expenses

Whole-Process Project Execution Details
Remote site condition confirmation: Our engineers finished dock parameter collection through video survey combined with 3D layout simulation, accurately locking wheelbase, lifting frame arrangement and other core dimensions according to building load limits and travel paths
Targeted high-temperature desert environment upgrade: Aiming at Kuwait’s scorching climate and frequent sandstorms, we optimized hydraulic heat dissipation system, added full dustproof sealing assemblies and applied heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating on the entire equipment for enhanced weather resistance
Compact production cycle: The whole manufacturing flow including steel structure welding, hydraulic pipe connection and intelligent control system debugging was completed within just 45 working days
Strict factory performance testing: The travel lift passed 125% overload static/dynamic load test, anti-swing accuracy calibration and 12-hour uninterrupted full-load endurance test, fully meeting EU CE certification criteria
Turnkey after-delivery service: We offered door-to-door ocean transportation and cross-border customs clearance service. Professional overseas technicians were assigned to complete on-site assembly, system commissioning, as well as systematic operation and daily maintenance training for local staff to ensure quick put-into-use
Client Post-Implementation Evaluation
After formal acceptance and trial operation, the shipyard’s daily yacht lifting efficiency has been boosted five times, with zero safety hazards occurred in continuous operation.
The customer gave highly positive feedback: “The built-in anti-swing function is very user-friendly, completely eliminating our worries about hull collision scratches during lifting. Thanks to the all-terrain driving design, we saved around 300,000 US dollars on dedicated track laying costs. Nucleon’s team showed remarkable professionalism throughout the whole process, from preliminary solution communication to final equipment handover.”
Currently, the customer intends to place repeat orders for the yard expansion project, and has voluntarily recommended Nucleon marine lifting equipment to peers within the local ship repair industry.
Project Summary
This successful cooperation fully reflects Nucleon’s strong strength in customized R&D of port marine lifting equipment and complete one-stop overseas project delivery capacity. Beyond yacht travel lifts, our full product range also covers overhead cranes, gantry cranes and electric hoists, widely applicable to mold workshops, storage logistics parks and various industrial material handling occasions. Moving forward, we will keep iterating core technologies such as anti-sway algorithm and off-road travelling mechanism, continuously tackle different lifting difficulties for global partners, and deliver safer, more economical integrated heavy-load handling solutions.
